“Like many people in 2021 I found myself a bit restless and discontent, having just survived a global pandemic, unprecedented social isolation and societal shut downs. I decided I needed to make several drastic changes in my life, hoping that those changes would be the cure for the irritability and emotional strain I was feeling.
Crystal's use of the thought work model helped me understand that it wasn’t the job, house, car, etc. causing my mental upset, but the thoughts I was choosing to believe about them. My consistent application of the model when I bump up against situations where I feel stuck has been an ongoing gift from our sessions. I didn’t change jobs so that I’d have more time to do the things I’m passionate about, Crystal’s coaching helped me to identify the things I love about my work, and those activities I’ve envisioned that future ‘happy’ version of myself doing when I ‘have more time’. She encouraged me to start making those things a part of my life NOW. I’ve implemented a gratitude practice which helps me seek out the parts of my life and work that recharge me and connect to my personal values, and I still apply the model to the rough spots when I get into an unhelpful thought cycle. I am now deeply happy in my position with the same wonderful employer whose mission and work is aligned with things that matter to me. I’ve also made substantial progress on several other personal, professional, and financial goals. I cleaned up my diet, lost 25 pounds, increased muscle tone, and have improved my stamina.
Not many days pass when I don’t recall something Crystal said in our sessions or from the many resources she provided, which helps me keep pushing for the best while also being very satisfied with my life exactly where I’m at.”
